Broken carry handle!!!

The carrying handle on my Spider III has broken.
The thread on one of the screws holding the handle in place stripped and pulled out while I was carrying it to a work Gig.
Where can I get replacement screws??
What size are they, not a common thread size (4.6mm Dia, 1.1mm pitch)??
Not had the amp long, good product let down by a poor design of handle fixing!!!
HI
If you take the screw to a local hardware store...they can match it up.....
If not L6 should be able set you up at he online store...

If you can't find anything...call L6......number at the top of this post....for some strange reason....![]()

I too have screws pulling out of the carry handle on my Spider Valve amp. Just replacing the screws is not going to get it. Does anyone know of a construction schematic? I don't believe that the standard screw system is "beefy" enough to support the weight and would like to modify it.
I do agree with you, the two 4.6mm diameter screws that hold the handle on are pretty poor. This is clearly a design fault.
I have called the service centre and left a message, I wait to see how quickly Line 6 are at dealing with the fault.
I also have a problem with this on my Spider 3, i was carrying my amp up the stairs last night and the whole thread on the inside of the screw cavity has gone the screw seems to be ok so to speak.., this is such a heavy amp. i cant cary it without a handle..
Stay in the mix and in the know.
