Hi
I have just bought Workbench in the hope that I would be able to model a nylon string acoustic with my new Variax 700 electric.
Is there a plug in to do this?
I am sure I saw a guy do this with his Variax electric.
Any suggestions?
i think this was the file. Remove the jpg thing from the file name and it should work.
And is there a patch for workbench??? because for me, that preset is not convincent, at least for me..., or any other alternative (in a vst form maybe)
try toning down one of the gibson acoustics with workbench
Wow, check this sound!!!... a guy long time ago strung his electric variax with nylon strings and this is what he got..
pd: is it factible to string a electric variax with nylon strings??? it will damage my guitar???
i dont see where this will do any harm to your guitar at all to string with nylon strings. and that sound is unbelievably good. a piezo pickup is almost like a miniature microphone in some ways. matter of fact they used to make piezo mics if they dont still do you really can put them on anything or anything on them. i have a small thin one under the saddle of my classical guitar. its really just the package there in martin guitars used to put them out. i have an extra one i boutht for a friend thatwanted to amplify her acoustic but changed her mind. i wonder if its something like this that is used in the acoustic variax but i dont know. and they alsp use piezo pickups on drums some times they stick on. i wonder if thats what they use in those electronic drums to get the signal from the hit of the sticks . anyway id say do it because i plan on doing it if i decide i want that sound at some point. that sound was just too good to pass up. if you do try the twelve string acoustic settings and get back to me . i always wondered what a twelve string acoustic would sound like. and if your one of the guys who was talking about downtuning for bass those nylon strings will be great i did that with my acoustic once and it made a great bass line .
Stay in the mix and in the know.
