If I understand what you are asking I do not think so, but I never tried it. If you are trying to bypass the flextone power amp thru midi I don't think you can. I purchased a Marshall a few years ago but I still have my Flextone II HD and I used to use my POD XTL with it to generate additional tones and it actually worked quite well. I gigged with this set up for a few years, But what I did was I developed a really clean very flat EQ patch on the flextone and then ran POD XT tones on top of it. I also played around with various Cabinet emulations on the Flextone clean patch and saved several version of the Clean flat EQ tone with different cab emulation to use with various POD XTL tones. I also had a blank patch with nothing enabled on the POD XTL that I would use when I wanted to use Flextone II HD tones. I actually got some really good tones doing this. So it is possible to expand your tonal options with a little work.

    Hello,

You will need a MIDI-USB interface to download tones to your Flextone 2.  See the following links for more information:

Good catch Andy I think I may read hs post wrong. If you are just trying to load additional tones to your Flextone II then no you cannot use your POD XT as your midi interface to get tones to your flextone II. You need midi sport uno adapter to do it. USB to your PC and Midi in/out connectors to your flextone II.You will also need Line6 Edit from Line 6 site. Below is a link to the adapter they are only like $30-40. Good luck.
