FBV Express MkII won't calibrate? Other issues too...

Hi, I purchased a new FBV express mkII from Guitar Center and I noticed that it simply won't calibrate. I followed the instructions several times and have tried different plugs, yet I still can't seem to get past the first step in the calibration process. I hold down "D" and turn it on, and when i let go nothing happens. A "1" doesn't appear on the screen. This is very frustrating and I don't know what to do. Besides the calibration issue, I have also noticed that while playing, my amp will occasionally go into modes quick loop, auto wah, and pitch change among other effects. This makes absolutely no since because the express doesn't have access to these functions.  Other than these issues it seems to work fine.  I use a spider IV 150 combo and have no problems with it.

Id also like to add that I haven't hooked it up to my computer yet, because apparently I don't have a "standard" USB cable, despite the dozens of USB cables I own. I don't know why line 6 would come out with a "new" controller that uses a USB hookup that very few people use anymore. They should at least include it with the pedalboard.

So guys, basically I'd like to know if you think this is fixable?  Does anyone else have the same problems that I do, or do you think I just got a lemon?  I have been using line 6 products for as long as I've been playing and I have never had any issues until now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Conner
