Cannot update USB firmware on POD XT

Monkey sees the unit, but each time I attempt to update to the latest firmware I get:

 

1. Update successful

2. Then this:  There was an error communicating with your device. If it is a USB device, try disconnecting then reconnecting the USB cable.

 

Error: (Code 8000900C) MIDI device timed out waiting for a response.

 

I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
