    Hi,

I also would like to have a second power supply for my HD 500.

I wonder where to get one or if there are other power supplies which could work with the unit???

I just wish the power supply was longer, It's a deal shorter than any of the other pod power supplies.

Pstrat --- I have to agree.  And as silly as it sounds, it's my biggest complaint about the unit.  The HD500 is amazing.  And totally gig-worthy (finally!!!!).  But a power cord that's about 3 feet long??  Pain the the a$$ having to run a extension cables all the time.  The previous PODs came with a power supply that was at least 10 feet.  Little cheap IMO.

Anybody know if the M13 power supply will work with the POD HD500.  I've got one of those too and don't really use them simultaneously..........

No.  the M13 PSU Will NOT work with the HD500 - it's completely the wrong sort of PSU and WILL damage your HD500 if you try it.

The HD series PSU is a 9v DC ouput switched mode device which will deliver current at up to 3 Amps - The HD500 requires 2.5A minimum

The M13 PSU is the same as is used for the X3 Live, XT Live, M9 and Variax and supplies 9v AC at up to 2 Amps

Apologies for the undscores and bold type, but if you mix 'em up you will surely f%$k your HD500

          Regards

          Nick

Yes - I live in the UK and got a third party PSU with multi-voltage DC output and interchangeable cable 'ends' from UK high street electronics store Maplin.  It delivers 4A at 9vDC which is plenty for the HD500.  I just got it as a spare, but it works fine.  http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=48517
