FBV Shortboard Pedal

Bought my shortboard controller about a year ago. Rarely used but when I did, lights would flicker and display screen would not display information. I just pulled it out after more than 9 months stored in closet. Now all lights are on and display is still off. I've changed the cable and still the same. It's never worked properly. Is there a fix to this and what is it?

    Hello,

What generation FBV Shortboard are you using? Is it the MkI or MkII model?

You haven't registered it so it's still unclear to me.

Can you tell us which Line 6 hardware you are using with the Shortboard?

You mentioned that you were trying to use it with a PODxt Live, however, that product does not use the Shortboard as the POD already is a foot controller.

Please tell me how it is being used (what is it connected to) to have a better understanding of the problem.

      Regards,

    Hello,

      That's a first generation Shortboard.

To me, that sounds like a hardware issue but the only real way to be clear on that is to rule out all of the variables.

Have you tried another CAT 5 cable?

Are you able to plug the Shortboard into another POD to rule out your POD's jack as a possible culprit?

Also, one thing you can check on your own is the main header and ribbon cable connection inside the Shortboard.

Under the LCD screen you should see a big header connection. Make sure the ribbon cable is seated securely into the header. If it's not, push it back in and use some silicone to set it in place.

I've seen that resolve similar issues in the past.
