2 pods; four cable method

I currently have the pod xt live, and will soon have a pod hd 500 aswell. if I were to connect the xtl to the hd via the four cable method, would I be able to expand my effects chain both before and after the amp of the hd at the same time? or would the xtl's effects just use up effects blocks in my hd?                         wage

well there's no interraction between the 2, so yes you could potentially use the 4 cable method, and apart from the FX loop in the HD (not sure if that uses a block) you shouldn't take up any FX space...

BUT the amp models and effects simulations in the HD are far superior to the XT (2 generations better)... so you may find that the overall sound quality may seem lower, rather then just using the HD on its own for a more refined system... if you really want something more, maybe trading your XTL for an M13 would be best.  it uses the same FX as the POD HD, so you would still have the best FX in your signal chain.

    Cheers
