I'd like to set up a wireless sax solution. The microphone of choice is the DPA 4099S. Is this mic compatible with the XD-V70L? Does the XD-V70L provide the required phantom power?
No problem ... just get the proper adaptor ... DAD6010 http://www.dpamicrophones.com/en/products.aspx?c=Item&category=138&item=24126
Just to be technically correct, when using this mic with a wireless, this mic uses "bias" voltage and not "phantom power"
Thank you very much, dboomer!
Also, for pointing me to the right adaptor! That would have been my next question. But hell - that adaptor is an expensive beast!
Expensive ... dude the mic by itself is more than the wireless system![]()
It's a great mic and the system will be killer!
I didn't say the wireless system is expensive. It's the adaptor: the DAD 6010 cost about one fifth of the V70L. And it is only an adaptor to connect the mic to the receiver ... ![]()
Well you could cut the wire and just solder on a TA4F connector ... if they don't use Leitz wire.
(I'm not recommending this however)
Hi,
I'm curious to know how your DPA 4099s miv and Line 6 v70l wireless combination worked out for you? I'm looking to do the same set-up for saxophone and would like to hear how it's working for you. Thanks.
Hi maxsax,
this setup works very nicely for me.
No problems.
Hi,
just read your post and wondering if you have had any issues since writing with the DPA4099S and the XD-V70L set up as I am currently looking to follow the same path. Any info much appreciated as I can't afford to make a mistake purchasing.
thanks.
