zeddd: Not really.  The issue is with palm muting.  There's a certain percussiveness that just isn't there with the various pickup/body combinations.  Some configurations have a good bassy punch but then sound really tinny. 

litesnsirens: I've messed with workbench for hours and hours.  The best I could get was stacking 2 humbuckers on top of each other so that they were overlapping, one of them in the position of being literally on the bridge (which seems pretty weird).  I still couldn't quite get what I was looking for.  I would like it if I could just select "ideal metal tone" as a preset option, like, gibson explorer body + EMG pickup.  I feel like I'm trying to re-invent the wheel, and not having a lot of luck.
