The Spider Jam has two channels. One is the GUITAR Channel, which has all the amp simulation and effects, the other is the MIC Channel which is clean. The AUX Channel is routed through either of these depending on your settings - 'paired with mic', 'paired with guitar'.
This will explain it in diagram...

You can only record one channel at a time so it is NOT possible to record GUITAR and MIC channels together. You have to choose which one you want to record with the RECORD SELECT button. If you have AUX paired with MIC, you can record guitar and mic together but, as you have found, the guitar is sharing the MIC channel and will not have any effects. This is okay for acoustic guitar but not very good for an electric guitar sound.
The only way round it is to buy a stomp box (a Pocket Pod or similar) and put that between your guitar and the AUX input. Then you will be able to record the way you want.

"AUX INSTRUMENT INPUT ROUTING" con eleccion de MIXED WITH GUITAR o MIXED WITH MICROPHONE. GRACIAS
