pod x3 reverb problem!!!

My pod x3 has a problem with the reverb, it keeps truning on, even when it's set off. When it comes on by it's self and you push the reverb button off, it goes off and them ramdanly comes back on, very, very annoying. This pod is in pristine condition, and only used in my house and never never taken out.

This will be related to the Reverb potentiometer. As you probably know, even when the Reverb is switched off, turning the Reverb pot slightly switches it back on. The pots can be very sensible, so I'd say make sure the X3 doesn't move or try to avoid any physical impact on the unit.

        vibrations can be enough...

try parking the reverb knob in the off position except when editing...

your tone will still recall your reverb settings.

Even without any vibration, it's still a possibility. Just as a sanity check, try working the reverb knob from minimum to maximum several times and than leave it parked at the minimum position.

              +1

Yes - I agree - the most likely cause of your problem is that your VERB control knob is set to a value above zero and the X3L mistakenly picks that value up as an override every time you use it - this is a common enough problem reported for other values controlled by the knobs on the front panel - they are extremely sensitive and the slightest vibration causes the X3L to go into dynamic override mode and use whatever value the control knobs are set to rather than what is recalled by the patch. The only way to avoid this is to have them all parked at zero.

So please try setting the REVERB control pot to zero and leave it there.

              Does that fix your problem?

you are missing MY point... sound *IS* vibration... if you can hear the sound coming out of it... then there is vibration...

whats it hurt to try first, and call us stupid later....

I absolutely have this problem to. Even in dead silence. Its not "vibrations". I noticed it only tends to happen when I've got some sort of digital connection. When I'm straight analog this doesn't happen. Its ruined so many takes I can't even believe it. I feel like its getting a signal to turn on the reverb from another device when connected digitally.
