Variax battery

My variax only works with my Pod500. Fully charged battery, the battery check shows 4 green...but no tone functionality, no connection via USB. Must be bad wiring inside, I'm thinking. Everything updated to most recent via Monkey...So what should I do?

It doesn"t sound like a battery problem. Are you saying that the Variax only works through your VDI cable with the HD500, and nothing is coming out the regular 1/4" guitar jack? Give a bit more info and maybe we can help.

You have to connect a 1/4" cable into the JTV 1/4" jack to "wake up" the guitar. This is to preserve battery life when you are not playing.

When connected to  POD via the VDI cable, the guitar gets power from the POD.  When connecting the JTV to the USB workbench interface, the guitar does not "know" it needs to turn on.
