i just went through hell downloading/deleting/re-installing PF2.5 and all the other updates and had to reinstall the license manager again. it asked me to authorize my laptop again and used up another "lifetime authorization"?? and its the same PC!! please tell me you're license manager app is smart enough to know when it's authorizing the original PC that bought the equipment. i use only 1 computer for recording, and i do not share any of my gear. so now that i had to use up an entire day fiddling with your software update bugs, now i use up 2 of my 10???? authorizations on the same computer? i'm sure this is just another glitch that can be fixed right? i mean Line6 wouldn't start messing with their paying customers like this would they? it's musicians like me and others that talk you guys up to other musicians and get them to buy more of your gear. yes, this update experience has tried my patience.

I have the same issue, I've used just one notebook and 4 out of my 10 lifetime devices. Then, if I reinstall windows once again, I'll use one more of my lifetime devices. In that case, in a few years I'll use all of my lifetime devices, so my interface will be obsolete.
Any news about this? As I can see it is still not working as expected.
It is still not working, I have the same problem now.
relax... it can be reset.. this just keeps the software piates from sharing 1 license to the world...
no reason to make it an issue til it is an issue...
meaning don't worry about 3 reinstalls from now or whatever...
that's the way it is... it's not going to be "fixed"
you can even call ahead and ask if you're getting ready to reinstall to avoid downtime...
also of note that this post os ver 6 months old, and line6 support will generally not reply in the forums...
if you need resets... call or open a support ticket:
I couldn't agree more. This authorization approach is BS. I don't have the time to put up with Line6's foolishness any longer. I'm moving to IK Amplitube. Bye.
