Why does the ToneCore Development Kit only ship within the U.S?

I'm UK based and I'm always having problems getting the right sound out of my pedals, I must have got thru at least 30 odd by now, so this kit seems ideal but I'm told on the site is can only be shipped within the U.S? Sorry that this isn't really a forum style question, if I could find an email address to contact Line 6 directly I would have done that, but this seems to be the only way :s
Cheers in advance
I believe the restriction is due to licensing and warranty arrangements with Line 6 retailers and distributors. Doesn't mean you can't get the equipment - just means you have to buy it locally (which gives you a valid warranty). To reach your local source, hit the Contact Us button at the foot of this page and see the UK phone number.
Thanks Silverhead, i'll look into it ![]()
Oh and I've also looked into the UK dealers and nothing came of it :s
If you are able to read the Tonecore schematics (free) it is possible to add USB to any Tonecore dock and make it function like a developer's kit.
Only three wires USB+, USB- and Ground are needed. Hack any USB cable, drill a small hole into the side of a tonecore dock (pedal), solder these three wires and you have a developer dock.
Then you just need to obtain the programmable modules from Line 6 and start writing your effect in DSP code, load and try it out.
Cheers,
Mike
