Unable to get any signal using HD 500 microphone input

Hi,
I'm a new user of HD 500 and finding it a great piece of gear, but I haven't as yet been able to get any signal using the Mic input and level.
I've tried setting the Mic as the 'Input 2 Source' as per the 'Setup: Input Options' steps, but I'm not even sure if this is relevant to the problem.
It's probably a very easy fix, but if anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Scott
FIrst: The mic has to be a dynamic mic becasue the pod HD doesn't have phantom power.
2nd: In your patch make sure that input option for Input 2 is set to mic.
Thanks for responding Dean,
I had already tried both a dynamic and a phantom powered mic and, as noted in my original post, I had set 'Input 2 Source' to mic in the setup. The problem was that I somehow failed to register, when I read the Advanced manual while doing the original setup, that it's necessary to save the 'Input 2 Source' setting for each preset. So in other words, when I accessed presets after the original setup they were still in the default setting.
Glad you got it sorted out![]()
