Broken battery lead on X2 transmitter

Hi everyone,
The red battery lead broke on my X2 transmitter. I disassembled the case and was very intimidated by the task of replacing the battery clip myself (9 solder joints and zero screws holding two boards together!?). I realized I was in waaay over my head and decided to look for some help.
I would rather not purchase a new transmitter or a new system for such a goofy little part failure.
Line 6, what do you guys recommend? Surely I am not the first guy to deal with a broken battery clip lead. Thanks in advance for the help!
Andy
I didn't get a reply here so I picked up the phone. I just spoke with a rep at Line 6. His response was to contact an authorized service center. I did that, and the solution they suggested was to splice a new battery clip to the existing wires (without de-soldering them from the board). That makes sense to me. I might actually be able to do that myself.
The rep at Line 6 also offered to mail me a few transmitter clips. That was a nice touch!
Thanks Line 6,
Andy
That what I did, and it's worked fine for me.
