Hello,

I acquired a used variax 300 electric yesterday, and I spent many hours working thru the sounds.  At one point I noticed some pronounced hum coming from my rig (floor pod plus to amp).   I  finally figured out the hum was from the variax volume pot, when it was turned below 100%.  It was hum-free at full volume, but quite loud as soon as I turned the guitar down about a 1/4 turn.  The hum is present in all models, acoustic or electric.

Any ideas what's up?
