Workbench recognizes Variax Acoustic but not Variax James Tyler.
Using MacBook pro with OS 10.7.2, Workbench 1.7.2.
I already deinstalled drivers and workbench and installed again.
All other programs are closed, all other USB cables disconnected. But this shouldn't be necessary, it's the year 2011...
Any hints how to get this software working?

Hi
OK - the James Tyler Variax needs to be powered ON to be recognised by WorkBench.
You haven't said how you are connecting your JTV to your computer. If you use a POD X3 Live/X3 Pro or HD500 and a VDI cable as the interface, the POD supplies power to the guitar and turns it on, so the WorkBench software should see the guitar, however if you are using the USB WorkBench interface and the short VDI cable supplied, the USB interface does not power the guitar ON. You must use the guitar's internal battery and plug in a 1/4" jack cable to the guitar to ensure it is powered ON. The WorkBench software should then see the guitar provided that the USB WorkBench interface is correctly installed in your Mac OS.
