POD HD500

I just purchased the POD HD500 but I'm not sure it was the best bang for the buck. Line 6 doesn't support Guitar Port for this unit. So I was looking at returning it an exchanging it for the POD HD Pro but the floor pedal doesn't work with this unit. I could go with the x3 Pro but would rather stay with the HD Pro. Why all the incompatibility? Why not support the HD500 with Guitar Port or have a pedal that works with the HD Pro? It seems I only have one choice of units if I want to use Guitar Port and have a pedal but  giving up the HD technology. Are there plans to have a pedro for the Hd Pro or support for the HD500 with Guitar Port? I read some forums where other users of the HD500 were disapointed with not being able to use Guitar Port. I mean I could buy a $100 price o gear from Line 6 that can be used with Guitar Port but a $500 unit is supported? That makes no sense at all. It frustrates me enough to return it and find a better solution.

Any suggestions?

    Re: POD HD500

    Hi,

Guitar Port Online is not supported with HD Hardware. You can put in a feature request if you would like:

    http://line6.com/company/contact/productfeedback/

As far as footcontrollers, you can use The FBV shortboard, FBV Express or FBV Express MKII and FBV Shortboard MKII with POD HD Pro. The original FBV Longboard will work as well but some of the buttons that are specific to the Vetta I and II will have no function so I generally like to recommend the previous footcontrollers.

    Thanks,

    David
