Midi Memo export and import

It appears that once you export files, there is no way in iTunes to delete them. So if you later import, you'll end up with a duplicate. Is this working as designed?
Also, I tried to import MID files not created by MM, and the files were not imported. It would seem that MM can not import files it did not create. Why is this? Doesn't midi=midi=midi? Is there some fairly trivial editing I can do to my MID files to make them MM friendly?
Only sometimes does MM tell me it cannot import a file it did not create. Other times, the file is deleted from the iTunes list, but not placed on the iDevice and no warning was given. Is there some sequence I need to follow?
I think I sort of have an answer to one of my own questions. I played around with iTunes file sharing in other apps, and it seems that the common practice is to:
a) leave the files in iTunes even if the file is on the device (this lets you sync the same files with multiple iDevices I guess, plus it eliminates the inadvertent duplicates)
b) provide a mechnism on the iDevice to delete files, from it and iTunes at the same time.
Midi Memo does not comply with this. Whether they consider this a bug or not, I would still like to know.
Sorry for not responding sooner. Both of your points are correct, but unfortunately does not exist with the current build of MIDI Memo app.
I've taken your thoughts and presented them internally to the development team. Sorry about the inconvenience. Hopefully these behavioral changes will be rolled out in a future release of the app.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
