I need to know IF and HOW I can use POD farm with the mic input on my computer
Yes, the line is powered.
Yes, my sound card is capable.
SETUP: I'm running a regular 1/8" jack from the headphone output on my amp going to the mic input on my computer. This setup works fine and my recording software has no problem recognizing and recording with it.
Thank you in advance,
Steve
depends on if your soundcard on your computer has ASIO drivers...
Yes it does. I have done Live monitoring with this sound card on other programs if this is your concern.
no... "live monitoring" does not = ASIO drivers...
ASIO is a specific specification in which your drivers must adhere...
if it doesn't specifically say ASIO drivers... they are typically MMC drivers... which are a different spec...
although there are other variants etc....
pod farm explicitly works with ASIO drivers.
you can record etc with non-ASIO drivers...
+1 to Zap,
If you are using Windows you will need an ASIO Compatible recording interface or sound card to see your inputs in POD Farm 2.51. Class compliant Windows drivers are unsupported.
Thanks,
David
