UX8 dead and powerless after only a year and a half

I have an authorized ux8 (21UX81P*********) that I got a year and a half ago.

Suddenly it just died and gets no power. After searching I see that this may be a common problem.

The interface was under a fan cooled rack and was only used part time so it should have lasted much longer in any case.

My biggest issue is not with the $400 plus dollars I spent, but that now the software is rendered useless.

I've used L6 gear for several years, and it bugs me that the PodFarm software that I've grown to depend on and have updated can't be used.

I understand that there is a possibility that, as they say, sh@t happens .... but is there no other way to save all my investment by saving at the very least my software and my faith in L6?

I have the pod pro, a pedalboard, a small amp and the ux8, which I love them all and reccomend line 6 gear all the time, but my beloved pod farm is my favorite "piece of gear".

Is there no way as a faithful, payed registered user that the software can be used now that the interface has been discontinued?

Thank you for your response.
