HD500 Latest Flash 1.4 problem with HD500 Edit via USB on PC

I upgraded my HD500 to Flash 1.4 last night.  Also downloaded latest drivers and latest HD500 Edit.

I was using my laptop which runs Vista Basic.

I connected the HD500 via USB to the laptop and was happily creating custom sounds and auditioning them via headphones on the HD500.

However, when I clicked on the SEND SELECTED button to transfer my settings from the PC to the HD500, the sound I heard in my headphones when I played was the sound of the guitar just going straight through as if I had just selected a New Tone.  I checked the HD500 and could see that the GUI was showing the correct fx and amp had been selected and that the relevant foot switches were illuminated. I checked the HD500 EDIT screen and could see that the correct fx  and amps were on and selected.  Yet it was behaving as if I had a New Tone with nothing switched on where before I had clicked the SEND SELECTED button I had the my selected fx and amp loud and clear. I tried swapping between memory locations within HD500 EDIT and also by pressing the footswitches on the HD500 yet it persisted with the NEW TONE sound - however - after a few minutes of this swapping the actual sound would suddenly kick in and be there!

This happened a few times as I was trying to set up 4 new patches - and each one did the same thing.  The last one did not seem to want to kick in at all - so I just disconnected the HD500 USB from the PC - thinking that if I had lost the sounds that I could just try again - however - when I checked on the HD500 all my sounds were there and working correctly.

Has anyone else experienced this?  Is this a known bug and is there a fix for it?

Thanks.

Eddie
