Pocket POD recording problem

I apologize in advance if I'm in the wrong place for this, this is my first post on here so excuse my ignorance.

I bought a 1/8th inch audio cord to record guitar covers using my POD. Well, as it turns out I can't because my laptop doesn't have a line in cord. What do I need to buy to record covers on my laptop, and It needs to be EXTREMELY cheap. I mean single, to low double digits.

Well, it sounds like you would need an audio interface/external sound card.  A quality interface (like the Line 6 POD Studio GX) can go for low as $99.  There are other interfaces by other brands you may want to check out, but this is what you would need in order to record into your computer with decent performance.
