No audio from my computer speakers from POD Farm 2/UX1

I have the Line 6 UX1 with POD Farm 2. Everything is installed correctly and is functioning fine,
except I am unable to hear any of the audio from my computer’s speakers with regards to the POD Farm,
as well as the included Ableton Live Lite 7 software programs.
My other recording/music programs (Audacity, FL Studio 10) still allow me to hear audio through my
computer's speakers as I work with them, though.
I am currently using the headphone jack on the UX1. I don’t mind using the headphones once in a while
when needed, but I prefer to use my computer’s speakers as monitors.
I would appreciate any assistance possible.
Thank you all for your time and consideration. ![]()
you would need your speakers connected to your UX1's analog outputs using an adapter cable if necessary. THis is because when using your UX1 as your audio interface, the sound card that's in your computer with the speakers connected to it, isn't being used. Usually all audio input and output needs to use a single audio interface/sound card, so the computer speakers need hooking up to the UX1.
Some people use the headphone output on the UX1 to connect speakers to (instead of buying an adapter cable) and that will certainly 'work' although it may compromise the audio quality you hear.
Hope this helps

Thank you for your reply, Rowbi. This is exactly what I had been thinking of trying next (the headphone output jack idea). I'm just glad to know that this issue wasn't just with me and my computer set up. It looks as though I'll be trying a few other options, as well.
While not specifically supported by Line 6, I've taken the UX's Analog Outs and routed them through the Aux/Mic input on my sound card. You'll need to hunt for an adapter cable that converts L & R 1/4" mono to 1/8" stereo.
I've been using this particular setup for years and it works fine.
You can also do the opposite. Connect your external computer speakers (this doesn't work for laptops) to the UX1 and run a line from your computer's speaker-out to the UX1's Stereo Monitor input.
Either way, whether you are using your computer's sound card, or the UX1, you will get sound.
Thank you as well, BigChas52! I will give your ideas a try (along with a few others) in my quest for sound.
Though I researched everything about this unit and it's software before my purchase, I didn't come across anything that mentioned this particular issue. As I said to Rowbi, I'm just glad to know it wasn't a problem with my computer in general.
Thank you to all who have assisted me with this matter (as well as any who may post other ideas and suggestions in the future on this topic). ![]()
