Unable to activate Riffworks Line 6 Edition

Hi, I purchased Riffworks Line 6 Edition a few years ago and have today installed it on a new PC but am unable to activate it. It does not appear in the applications list of Line 6 Monkey v1.51 like in older versions and although both my PC and guitarport are authorised with license manager riffworks keeps telling me I need to activate with Line 6 Monkey.
Riffworks Line 6 Edition
The Line 6 Edition of Riffworks is no longer being updated and does not officially support Windows Vista, Windows 7, Snow Leopard, or Lion.
you have a few options available:
A free version can be downloaded here:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/T4/
The Standard version is not free:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=10
Sonoma has provided a discounted crossgrade for Line 6 Edition owners:
http://www.sonomawireworks.com/guide/index.php/Riffworks_Crossgrade
RiffWorks Version 1 owners receive $70 off, making RiffWorks $59.
RiffWorks Line 6 Edition Version 2 owners receive $100 off, making RiffWorks $29.
Your personal Riffworks data files are fully compatible. Simply copy those files to your new computer to use with your new Riffworks installation as you would with personal data files for any other application.
although no longer supported, you can download the line6 edition here: http://line6.com/software/
by selecting windows XP as your operating system.
Yeah I searched the forum for an answer and came across that information although I'm not interested in T4 and would either use my paid for line 6 version or crossgrade for the standard version. The problem there is that sonomaworks say a crossgrade requires a screenshot of the line 6 version activation in line 6 monkey so either way I first need to activate the line 6 version.
i imagine a screenshot of your purchase history would suffice: http://line6.com/account/purchasehistory/
assuming that riffworks shows there...
Well it does and it doesn't, the purchase history is there but the descriptions are blank since the product is discontinued so it is of no use.
i'd bounce it off the sonoma people as well... to cover the bases... chances are they've ran into this before...
my experience with them was also positive... very helpful bunch.
I've managed to get Riffworks to show in Line 6 Monkey by running it in XP compatibility mode but still no luck with activating though. Hopefully the screenshot will be good enough for crossgrading even though its only showing that its installed. Thanks for your help anyway.
officially, nothing newer than winxp is supported for the line6 version... but the crossgrade is way worth it!!!
hello
Monkey is no longer used for activation, please use License Manager to unauthorise your Guitarport and authorise it again: http://line6.com/account/licenses/instructions/
if you get any' Win7 update' message when starting Riffworks2 Line6 Edition, simply click 'cancel' to dismiss it
