Pod farm 2.5

If I bought pod farm 2.5 will my line 6 gear be the key?

I don't have a iloc nor do I want one but I do own

A pod xt- ux2 & a fbv mkII shortboard. Could I use

These devices to " unlock " the software after I buy it?

If so how and which version do I purchase? I can buy online

And download it right? Will pod farm 2.5 include the

Daw plug in as well as the stand alone? Will pod farm 2.5 recognize

The model packs I've purchased and work to make

Tones for my pod xt? Sorry for all the questions I just

want to buy the right software for what I already own.

    You can use the POD to get the sound from your guitar into your computer where you can use PodFarm 2.5 either as stand-alone or as a plug-in in your DAW, once you have paid for the full version.  The model packs will become part of PodFarm once you buy them, its all done with the License Manager. iLok is not needed unless you want to be able to switch computers with your PodFarm on a regular basis.

    The shortboard can be used to control the Pod, Amp, or through MIDI, software like PodFarm.

      so i dont need the pod plugged in when i run the software like in the old pod farm?

        If you have bought the full version of PodFarm, you can use it as a plug-in on a previously-recorded channel.  If you don't have your Pod plugged into your computer your DAW is going to be looking for some soundcard/interface to use to put the sound out to your headphones or monitors.
