When I am on the Match Studio/Direct setting and the POD is not plugged in USB, I can hear the monitor tone. I can also hear it fine on the Tone 1 option... i think its "Studio direct tone 1..." or something. As soon as I plug in the USB cord to the port on the back of the POD, that very instant, the monitor tone cuts on Match Studio/Direct. This happens whether or not the USB is actually connected to a PC or anything at all on the other end. If I am connected however, I can hear only the playback from the DAW on this channel, whereas the monitor tone still comes through the "tone 1" setting as it should. So I am stuck choosing between hearing accompaniment OR guitar, which obviously makes recording a difficult task.
