Have you tried re-flashing the memory on the Shortboard? Not sure if this would help or hurt it - it sounds like there may be a physical problem with the unit.

ok, solved the problem finally.
after i found out, that neither amp, shortboard, software nor cable was the problem, i assumed, that the problem had to be one of the rj45 jacks, either the amp's jack or the board's jack.
so i had a look at both of them and noticed that pin no. 8 of the amp's rj45 jack was a little bit out of shape, hence the corresponding rj45 plug had no proper contact. so i fixed that and the problem was solved
thank you anyway for your effort!- Report Abuse

Glad you got it working! I hope that Line 6 looks at the constant problems with the somewhat flimsy RJ45 plugs and jacks. The other night at practice one of the other guitarists stepped on my CAT5 cable, and must have pulled it just enough that I couldn't engage the tuner from the pedal any longer, but stepping and holding the lit channel selector put it into loop-ready mode!
