Spider Valve Boost

I have a 112 Spider valve and the editing software shows a boost button of up to 8db. I only have the FBV Express pedal and don't know anything about midi, but I really think I'm gonna buy the Shortboard to have more control over effects. Is it possible to make the boost work from an FBV Shortboard or do I need something more.
Thanks,
Eric
Yes, you must have the FBV MK2 Shortboard (orange screen) to access the boost....The original MK1 FBV shortboard (green screen) is missing that particular button in regards to the SV MK2 boost feature...
With my shortboard mki, boost is turned on and off by hitting the loop switch for some reason, I like that it does that, plus the light turns on and off indicating when in use ![]()
I wonder if that is 1.17 behavior? My son has been using my MK2 for a little while, but as I recall the Loop button turned the gate on and off...Man, I might need to roll that back too....![]()
And yet another reason to spend more money on Line 6 products! Thier plan would have worked if it wernt fer that pesky bad tone with 2.0 thing, But I have to say, I love my Spider valves, and I have had some great amps come and go.
+1 - yep, that's how I remember my mki footpedal working with the mkii. But I was on firmware 2.0 when I tried.
Just checked, and the loop button turns boost on and off on 1.17 and 2.0. The stomp controls whatever the fx 1 is set to, e.g. comp, fuzz, auto wha, harmony. Havent figured out the loop control if it is even possible on the MKI footswitch.
+1 loop button controls the boost on mine. I have to have the MKii board to access the looper on the SV MKii.
Thanks Everybody. I see I should have put out the extra $100 for the shortboard... oh well. Anyone looking for an almost new express controller????
Yes, and if you use the editor, you can tweak the settings.
