RIP

Well I believe my Flextone III XL is done.  I was having volume swell issues and then the power supply blew.  I considered taking it to a service center and even got an RA number but I think its time to move on.  It really sucks loosing all of the tones that I've worked on over the years.

So I picked up a Pod HD500 over the weekend.  I'm running it straight to the board for band practice.  I was hoping that the tones I had from the flextone that were saved on the computer could be uploaded to the HD500, but that is not the case.  I believe I'm just going to save up for a couple of months and get a half stack.  The DT series and its integration with the HD500 is intriguing, but I'm not a 100% on the idea yet.  I was hoping to try it out, but none of the Guitar Centers by me has one.  Oh well.  I'll find something.  The HD500 is quite amazing with the flexibility of the unit.  It still needs a lot of tweaking to get things where they should be, but that is to be expected.

RIP to my Flextone III and farewell Flextone forums.  See you on the Pod HD forums.

you really can't lose with the DT amps... because they are great amps on their own.... as well as monsters with the pod integration....

find a place that you're comfortable with online that has a return policy... (that you likely wont use) i think you'll be glad you did.
