Pod 2.0 advice

Hi,
I have recently purchased the Pod 2.0 and I love it! I just have a question that I hope somebody can help with.
I record in my bedroom through a Focusrite Voicemaster Pro pre-amp and a Tascam DP-002 recording unit. Before getting the pod I would usually plug my guitar into the pre-amp and then come out of the XLR output of the pre-amp and into the XLR input of my recording unit.
When using the POD I would just like to know how to get the best out of it. Which one of the following options do you recommend?
I am only going to use mono rather than stereo and I know all of these methods work. So, I guess what I essentially want to know is: how do I get the best signal from my POD to recording studio?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Tony
I would lean towards:
Guitar into POD, output into jack input of pre-amp and output into line input of recording studio
This may increase your signal to noise ratio.
Not sure if your XLR in's on the Tascam are expecting instrument level, if so, running the preamp to them may be a bit hot.
But I would try all 3 and use the one that sounds best.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
