Mobile In quick review

After finally having succeded to complete the amazingly stupid captcha registration on this forum - honest to god, if I get another rejected captcha attempt I am going to find the guy who invented captcha and... chall we say not do very pleasant things to that person. Truly, is there no other way to get rid of spam bots than making people try to read unreadable text? Dumbest idea ever.
Anyhow, moving on to the Mobile In that I bought a couple of days ago, I'm pretty pleased with the sound quality and even though the interface seems a rather cheap build, it's also a fairly inexpensive product, so I didn't exptect much else after reading the reviews here. Hoever, It loses connection every now and then forcing me to reboot the phone, which is a bit disturbing. It also has a fair amount of latency that I didn't expect.
Sadly, what renders this little thingy almost useless though is the interface on iPhone. I can not for the life of me make out about half of the text on pedals and amps, and need to put on reading glasses every time to tweak it... It might work on iPad, but on iPhone it's nothing short of a disaster to use. I downloaded Amplitube, which also works with the interface and has a vastly better interface that I have no problem using and navigating around.
The amp and speaker sims in Mobile In all sound fairly good, but the effects have been a letdown so far. Nothing much to see there and the delay is really only very basic. If Mobile In is intended as a stepping stone to greater things, then maybe, but coming from other software based sims, I'm afraid this is altogether a complete letdown.
However, considering that the interface sound really nice and clean, and that one can just download Amplitube for free, which also have a number of a lot more interesting effects for cheap prices, I still think Mobile In is a good purchase. Just hope Line 6 will do something proper with the software eventually.
That's all folks. I might have bought it anyway considering the alternatives, but I do feel kinda tricked by Line 6 in this regard (and for the first time, I've owned plenty of Line 6 gear in my life), since the user interface of the Mobile In is truly not even usable on the iPhone without tons of frustration, especially for people with big hands.
Cheers
