Flextone 3 - Dead - Please help !!!!

Have i killed it?

All 4 channel lights are permanently on (A, B, C, D) and wont go off. I have tried re-setting it (holding A & D while turning it on) but its locked solid. PLEASE Help !! Gig next Friday and I need it !!!

By the way, I am using Safari and MAc OS.

This all came about as a result of downloading a flash memory upgrade from L6 Monkey.

Just tried the safety mode and re-loading the upgrade but that didnt work.

DESPERATE!!

what midi interface are you using? you might need to try reflashing it... some interfaces work better than others... especially bad are those cheap ebay ones... they work for some things... but not everything.

  I'm using a THT 1503 USB to MIDI connector. It worked fine before the amp locked up. I have the in in the out and the out in the in as per the instructions. I followed the instructions on Monkey to the letter, got the latest version of Monkey (1.59) and Editor. Managed to back up my patches ok, so i know the THT is working, the problem happened when i'd finished downloading the latest flash memory upgrade and it asked me to restart the amp. when i restarted it - Nada.
  
  Am pulling my hair out, any advice gratefully received.

      that my friend is the same as the cheap ebay interface i was warning you about.
      the best advice i can give you is to get an M-AUDIO UNO usb interface...
      and get the drivers direct from the m-audio site, do not use the windows drivers!
      i suspect that this would allow you to complete the update and restore your amp...
      this is just one known good and common interface...
      if you have friends with other interfaces, you can always try that to see if you get better results...
      but the m-audio with the m-audio drivers have brought many things back from the dead on this forum.

        Ok , so now I am at the end of my tether - i bought a new Midisport Uno usb, downloaded the drivers from teh website and still nothing. All i get is error code 8000720A and 8000900C
        
        I really dont know what to do now. Gig tomorrow and now totally f***ed.

Just a quick update - I telephoned Line 6 help desk and they were very helpful. The guy thinks its the SRAM Chip and it needs to go back to the factory. After lots or thought I have decided to say farewell Line 6 (and the dodgy Monkey sofware that caused my grief) and hello F_nder Mustang. I have converted my Combo into a 12" cab using the Celestion and a new input jack and can mount the head on top.

If anybody wants to buy a Mk1 FTB Floorboard, let me know.

Farewell Line 6 and thanks for the fun to date - you might want to have look at your software in the future though.....
