Why have "update from file" as a choice in monkey when...they don't seem to be stored anywhere on computer?

I have changed my mind a few times between ver 1.71 & 1.82 - BUT living in the bush, we have to pay for data on internet - is there a way to store the .VXF files?

you have to download the files seperately... http://line6.com/software/
a good thing if you have to pay for data... because you aren't downloading files you don't need.

    NOw I've got a harmonic warbleon the high E string - have reverted to 1.71 & back to 1.82
    Shudda left well enough alone

      actually, I had something similar happen, and i had to rollback and reflash a couple of time....
      i think i actually went from 1.71 to 1.70 and then straight to 1.8x to sort it out...
      sometimes it's just a matter of flashing more than once.

        Too wild - it was doing it unplugged as well -it's like...HOW did that happen, was I so excited to have a new axe that I missed it!
        Anyhow...whilst searching I came across this line in seymour duncan forum - "any fan in the room might cause that, perhaps even a computer fan!"

        awesome! glad you got it sorted out.
        of course you might end up going back to 1.71 anyway as some people prefer the acoustics in the older version...
        i like them both, and make it work... personally... but some people aren't quite so flexible.

        Agreed - that's why I rolled back...& once I turned off the ceiling fan - LOL, I was set! Just waiting on people to respond w/acoustic patches - w/flat eq on my Bose L1, things are "nasal"
