Ok, I am entirely confused. I've read everything from the Gearbox manual to various Gearbox threads. I understand that the Gearbox plug-in has been dumped for the new POD Farm ones, but can I still use the Gearbox stand alone application for re-amping/recording in ProTools? In the Gearbox manual, it states that my PODxt Live can be used for re-amping without the use of plug-ins. ie: the 4 options given for the Record/Send 1-2 signal routing in the MIDI devices tab.

Is this possible still, in any way? I just want to be able to record/re-amp in protools. Also, if it's possible to do this still, I don't really understand the 'sound card' options they go over. I want to be able to use my Maudio interface as the sound card and monitor there. How is that done without making the POD the sound card? Which way is better? Am I even asking the right questions????
