I'd love to hear from people about what guitars they'd love to see modelled in the JTV line of variax.
First of all, let me say I love the ones it already has but I'd really love to see a Duesenberg Starplayer TV included one day.......
Just say'in..... otherwise no complaints about what's there already.
Thanks
Gibson F-4 mandolin
Fender Jazzmaster
61' Gibson SG Standard
As a JTV-69 owner, after the JTV-89-specific models came out I hypothesized and sent the following as a possible list of JTV-69 specific models:
Jazzmaster
Jaguar
Fender Electric XII
Wide Range Humbucker pickups (allowing Tele Customs/Deluxes, '72 Thinlines, and possibly even Starcasters)
The 59 is 'Gibson-esque', so perhaps:
Nighthawk/Blueshawk (seriously underappreciated)
Melody Maker
Marauder/S-1
Gibson RD
12-string portion of a EDS-1275
I think having some more models would be cool - I like the suggestions for more Fenders personally. Although, I have to say that when you get down to listening to these different guitars, the differences between some of them may be a bit more esoteric than we think. I own a AVRI Jazzmaster and while playing it is a unique experience, I've heard it recorded, and I think I could get pretty close to that sound with the Variax now. The Chime model for instance is in that ballpark. It's just one of those things that once you hit the major benchmarks of guitar styles and pickup types, it seems like you'd come up against the law of diminishing returns.
Nylon (any medium or small body)... I play a Godin Nylon SA at a weekly gig and if the model was there, I could leave the Godin at home.
I would like to see more perhaps more stringed instruments perhaps such as the Koto? or a Lyre? I guess it could be argued why do we need ones such as these on a guitar when you can synth them on a key board. Of course, not all of us can play a keyboard, so I would still benefit from it I suppose.
yes! Nylon for sure!
As a general thing, I'd like to see a downloadable library of models that could be loaded into the Custom bank, such as the pre 1.8 Acoustic models, nylon strings, violin and anything else thats practical to model
Let's at least have a nylon....... Almost everyone wants one....... Come on Line 6 give it to us.
As others have said, Gibson SG and Fender wide range humbuckers would be nice. Also, a Gibson ES 355 along the lines of B.B. King's Lucille. Imagine how amazing it would be if L6 could have some special releases of artist-specific guitars to download.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
