Ok, sorry if this is basic and or already covered but how do plug in a Variax guitar into the HD400 foot pedal?
you have to use the regular guitar input... there is no direct variax input on the 400
Then am I missing a step, because I plugged in and I have no sound. Fresh batteries are in the guitar.
With fresh batteries in your Variax, just use a normal guitar cable to connect your Variax 1/4" output to the HD400 Guitar input jack. Use headphones with the HD400 to check for sound. Engage the HD400 tuner to see if the device is receiving the guitar signal. Check the Input settings for your HD400 preset - make sure that Guitar is selected as an Input for the preset.
If still no sound, double check the batteries in your Variax, or try using the Variax power supply.

How do you check that?
Sorry - my mistake. You don't need to check it - the Guitar input is automatically selected in the HD400. There are input options in the HD500/Desktop/Pro.
do you get sound when plugging the variax directly to your amp? just want to rule out a battery, or power issue...
We have sound boys....thank you!
