Jtv vdi and battery

Sorry if this questIon is not new but i didn ´ t see anything about.

Is it a problem if i keep my batterie in the guitar while i use the vdi cable for powered the guitar ?

    Not really, that is what I do...  the battery will still discharge if you have a 1/4" plug cable inserted.  The battery does self-discharge like any other battery over time.  I recharge mine when I get to 2 LEDs (I check every few weeks)..

      Thank you for your quick response.

      I see after i posted, some thread linked with mine.

      I don't know after reading the other thread, if the battery is needed to use the mag pickup ?

      In other words, is the VDI cable sufficient to powered the modeling sound AND the magnetics mics ?
