mk2 2-12 amp blank screen after upgrade try

I just bought an MKII 2-12 amp about a week ago and was loving it. Then I tried to update the firmware using a MIDI interface and later the FBV Express MKII board I had. The first few times the update failed and the display kept saying Ready For Update or something similar.

I stubbornly kept trying to perform the update and now the display is completely blank on amp start up and stays that way, line 6 monkey doesn't recognize that my amp is connected, and when trying to update the firmware doesn't even begin loading before an error.

I've tried to perform the factory reset (Holding the A channel down on start up) but it has no effect. It seems as if the flash memory or whatever has been wiped clean. At this point i'm wondering if anyone has any tricks to get the amp working or if it needs to go to the shop for repair or i will just return to gc for a refund.

Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

From your post in the other thread, it sounds like you bought the amp from a store?  If that's the case I'd definitely take it back and exchange it for another one.  If you have to tell them anything, I would simply tell them you tried to upgrade the software per Line 6 instructions and wound up with 'this'.  If you didn't buy it new from a store you're stuck going through Line 6 support and could be without the amp for a while...
