No Mic Signal

Howdy. I just got the UX1 with Pod Farm and everything is great. Except I cannot get a mic signal through the thing. I just have; mic>XLR> UX1. Am I missing something because even with the mic gain maxed I'm still not getting any signal. I'm using a Sennheiser E 825s and a basic XLR cable. I've even tried running through my Boss Vocal Processor to amplify the signal and nothing. what am I missing? I could really use the help.

    Hi,

     

       Sorry if you've tried this but in pod farm mixer view, just check that mic is selected as the input. If thats ok then you might need to open up the sound settings for the computer and check that the ux1 is there and enabled ( in recording and playback sections (windows) and then double click on it the ux1 (if windows) and check that the levels are up/on.

     

    Let us know if that's helped or if it's not the problem.

      Wow. Completely missed that in the mixer view. Thanks, really appreciate that.

        No problem. I had a look in my sound settings in windows too and found that the 'microphone boost' setting was on. I will have to test it without it on. I've been recording with it on for I don't know how long now and have read someone say to have it off. I kind of remember for some reason choosing to put it on, but I am not sure. Anyway, its funny how you think things are all set up and then you see something like that and think "Why have I got that on?"
