Line 6 M9 LEDs not lighting up and/or Lighting up the wrong color

I recently purchased an M9 and I love it and everything I can do with it. Saved me a bunch of time and money compared to if I had bought individual pedals. I've had it for around two weeks and now something's up.
I was jamming around and I set up a Filter effect (should light up PURPLE) on FX 3A and instead, it lit up RED. I thought, eh, no big deal, I guess. But then when I went over to copy another effect, Script Phase (should light up BLUE) on to FX 3B, the LED went out completely. It doesn't light up at all even if I activate it.
I tried unplugging power for a while and after I started it up again, same problem. Sometimes it lights up different colors but never the ones it should be. This also seems to be only happening to the FX3 switches. FX1 and 2 are fine.
Is this a firmware problem? I've only had this thing for two weeks and I don't have a MIDI cable to patch things in.
Thanks L6
Update:
Uhh, okay I just plugged my M9 back in again and now it got worse. The problem has spread to the other FX units and I can't get out of Latch Scene mode. I can't get into the tuner and setup menu too.
I'm sending this thing in for replacement/repairs later in the day but I hope someone can help out on here too. :/
From the sounds of it, this sounds like it could be symptomatic of the loose ribbon cable that some people have had. But if the unit is still under warranty, and you can get it repaired for free that probably the wway to go. Better yet, if you can take it back and get a replacement, that's what I'd do.
Stay in the mix and in the know.
