New JTV HD models upgrade and new workbench coming!

Hey guys, did you see this in the news section?

At the upcoming NAMM show, Line 6 will introduce JTV-89F, the newest member of the acclaimed James Tyler® Variax® family. With a Floyd Rose® licensed double-locking tremolo system by Graph Tech and the ability to virtually tune down a whole octave without impacting playability or intonation, the limited-edition JTV-89F is a sonic weapon of epic proportions.

Also coming soon, the free Variax HD upgrade enhances all James Tyler Variax guitars with an entire collection of pristine HD instruments. The upgrade includes the all-new Workbench™ HD software—giving you new ways to customize your guitars and capture unique tones.

pretty exciting isn't it? new upgraded models and workbench capabilities? I'm eager to learn more about this!

Yeah, we've been talking about this announcement. I'm looking forward to it. I know the new acoustics didn't please everyone, so i'm curious if these new releases will be recieved in the same manner.

  I'm just hoping that they will get the acoustic sound from the Variax Acoustic 700 for the JTVs.
  If they had done so in the first place...I would have given my 59 a "10" rather than the score of about 6 or 7.

    I'm pretty confident that this will never happen (I don't KNOW anything... but that's my opinion on it)
    why?
    because they are already outdated... they threw away the old acoustics on the JTV's a while back and gave us new HD acoustic models...
    they just announced they will be redoing all the electrics in HD... just seems to be getting further and further from any v1 variax model releases....
    
    i was personally surprised by how jtv59 like the 700 acoustic guitars "feels"

    Yep. I agree with TheRealZap. You will probably have to keep a previous generation Variax on hand if you want that particular acoustic sound. I know what you mean. There is a certain vibe to them which it would be nice to be able to recall as a preset, but I doubt Line6 will do that, even though it's probably possible.
    
    So those new acoustics were "HD" models, huh? There was a definite bunch of steps upward towards realism. I am very interested in hearing how the HD electrics will improve the sound of all those models.
    
    Does anyone know where I can go to read more about this? Is there a press release or a page with more details about it? Have any beta testers posted videos yet of the improved tones?

there is actually a page for the JTV89F now with real pictures and not the bad photoshop!

kind of sad to see that the 89F's didn't bring some more color options like the 69/59 models did.

  Monkey has not been opening all day. I'm hoping maybe this is due to them updating everything now. Tried reinstalling it and it is just not opening. Anyone else have this happening?
