Amplifying a pod hd 500 for gigs with a low budget?

Hi everyone,
First of all I want to say that I've looked several posts about this issue but none of them seemed to adjust to my specific situation, so it would be a great help if you throw some light to my case. Which is:
- I want to amplify the pod at a gig level and I play with my thrash metal band, so it will have to be pretty loud.
- I can't aford to buy things like the atomic reactor plus or a tube preamp.
So I'd like to spend about 300 € for something that will allow me to play gigs and that won't colour the sound. For the posts I've read I've thought of this options:
-http://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_k3000fx.htm
Even if I have a low budget, I don't want to buy something that will sound like crap, so if I have to spend more and buy something like a Rocktron velocity 300 + guitar amp cab I'd do it.
Just something for 300 € if it's possible but not more expensive than 500€.
Is there any good solution?
Just get a cheap powered PA speaker. $200.00 USD, don't know how much they would be overseas. Behringer should be fine if you aren't too rough on it.
Is it a better option than a keyboard amp?
How many watts would be necessary?
Thanks for the fast answer!
Keyboard amps have a(limited) pre stage, as far as I know. That will colour your sound, though it may not be much. Plus, they are usually heavier and more expensive than powered PA speakers in this category. I would say the wattage depends on how loud your stage is. Go try some out, or at least shoot for equal wattage with your bandmates. Most smaller PAs start out around 150 or 200 watts, I think.
Thanks man
No problem, dude. Let me know what you end up going with; I may put one on my list in the near future, although I am now officially addicted to stereo, so I'll have to get two.
another option you should consider is getting a cheap, solid amp (by solid I mean solid state and solid construction) and use the POD with the cab emulation deactivated, I use it for gigs and works nice, for recording though is a bit tricky, cause what you heard through the amp isn't what will sound through the recordings
