Floor POD Plus to Mac Logic/Garageband

I own a Floor Pod PLS and I want to record DI into my Macbook Pro. I have a USB/Midi cable but when I connect it the computer doesn't recognise it. The strange thing is when I use Logic, there is still no sound but Logic recognises the change in input level when I use the volume pedal. Any ideas guys?
