Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

I’ve been at it again. This time I was lead down the promised land of Hi-gain goodness by chasing a clean tone! I originally created this tone for big open distorted chords to play over. It evolved into its own unique sound that can be used for everything from lead to open chords that peal paint of your ax. Bow down, take a knee, and pay tribute to the hi-gain glory that is “Mother of God”! This tone is centered around a Mail Order Twin amp set for a clean sound. I know right? I then slammed the front end with a Vermin Distortion set to melt frigging faces. I made two versions of this tone. One with stock cabs that consist of 2X12 Double C12N and a 2X12 Mail C12Q panned quite a way opposite from each other. The other version uses 2 IR’s made by jroseberry from the Line 6 forum. I placed his Friedman 2x12 - 414_3 on #45 on the Helix and Friedman 2x12 - 414_3o on #47. These are amazing IR’s and are my favorite I have used. You can get them here: http://line6.com/support/topic/21714-friedman-2x12-cab-irs-multiple-micspositions/ From there I added various effects that I detail below in the Snapshot descriptions. Snapshots: Snapshot 1 Riffage – Has the Vermin Distortion, the Trinity Chorus, my favorite reverb the Plate verb and a custom EQ for the final sound. As the name implies I use this for rhythm. The Chorus was added for that John Petrucci sound that I seem to be chasing lately. Snapshot 2 Clean Riff – Just the Vermin Distortion and the custom EQ. I use this for recording. Snapshot 3 Long Game – This is the big one. The sound I initially was chasing for big open or bar chords to solo over. What I really like about this is the Mystery Filter adding extra harmonics and resonance so the chord evolves over time. Sounds massive. This snap has the Vermin Distortion, Mystery Filter, a Transistor Tape Delay, Plate Reverb and the custom EQ. Snapshot 4 Solo Plus – This one turns on the Simple Delay for a less ambient delay. It has the Vermin Distortion, Mystery Filter, a Simple Delay, Plate Reverb and the custom EQ. There is also a +2Db gain block to cut through. Snapshot 5 Old Riff – I have added a High Cut/Low Cut EQ to give the tone a AM radio or Megaphone sound. The Vermin Distortion, Plate Reverb and the High Cut/ Low Cut EQ are activated. Snapshot 6 Old Solo – I have added a High Cut/Low Cut EQ to give the tone a AM radio or Megaphone sound. The Vermin Distortion, Simple Delay, Plate Reverb and the High Cut/ Low Cut EQ are activated. Snapshot 7 Short Game – This is the same as the Long Game snap above but it removes the Mystery Filter. It activates the Vermin Distortion, Transistor Tape Delay, Plate Reverb and the custom EQ. Snapshot 8 Solo – This is the same as the Solo Plus snap above but it removes the Mystery Filter. It activates the Vermin Distortion, Simple Delay, Plate Reverb and the custom EQ. There is also a +2Db gain block to cut through. I use my Helix in the 8 Snapshot/ 8 Stomp configuration. This tone works best that way. This tone has had the crap tested out of it with a Variax, 7 string, a few Ibanez RG’s and even a Schecter Stargazer with coil splits. I certify that this tone kicks rock butt! This patch is also designed to be played through Full Range Flat Response speakers. You may need to adjust the EQ settings if you do not want the low end that I have added in this tone. Thanks for downloading. Please rate it. Veritechc \m/
