Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays fellow dissidents and malcontents and to all others who bow before the gods of rock. Welcome to a new feat of sonic nirvana conjured from the ether for your sanction and made by the only ax that can cut, bite, and melt faces. This tone is a departure for me and, as such, it is entitled “Gettin Strange”. For just like finding a new partner, this tone is made for those who like Classic Rock and Rockabilly. These are genres I seldom play but I really think you will like this tone. There is a lot of mad scientist crud going on under the hood. Let’s dive in! I started this whole thing off deciding to blend two amps. That is kinda my thing now. I grabbed the Matchstick CH1 and the awesome Brit 2204 and set them on parallel paths. They each go into their own cabs. For the Matchstick CH1 its mated (see what I did there) with the 1x12 Us Deluxe with the good old SM57 mic. I used the 2x12 Blue Bell with the Brit 2204 on a whim and it sounds cool. This tone centers around two concepts: blending the two amps and panning them in stereo. I have snapshots for everything you can think of. The descriptions are below. Snapshots: Snapshot 1 Panned – This has the Britt 2204 and Matchstick CH1 panned 80% left and right. There is my favorite Plate Reverb activated with a 30% mix. Snapshot 2 Matchstick – I used the Merge Mixer to pan the Matchstick CH1 to center and silence the Britt 2204 so you get just the one amp. Plate Reverb is there for flavor. Snapshot 3 Britt 2204 – Used the Merge Mixer to pan the Britt 2204 to center and silence the Matchstick 2204 so you get just the one amp. Plate Reverb is there for flavor. Snapshot 4 Blend – Both amps are dead center in the stereo field and make a perfect complement to each other. You get the growl of the Britt and the chime of the 2204. Plate Reverb helps to make a comprehensive tone. Snapshot 5 Pan Solo – The Britt 2204 and Matchstick CH1 are panned 80% left and right. The Top Secret OD lights up for some yummy crunch and the Vintage Digital comes to life for some tasteful delay. Plate Reverb is still on for that great room ambiance. Snapshot 6 Pan Drv – The Britt 2204 and Matchstick CH1 are panned 80% left and right with the Top Secret OD on to crunch up your sound. Plate Reverb is still on for that great room ambiance. Snapshot 7 Blend Drive – Both amps are dead center in the stereo field and make a perfect complement to each other. You get the growl of the Britt and the chime of the 2204. Plate Reverb helps to make a comprehensive tone and the Top Secret OD adds some much needed growl. Snapshot 8 Solo – The Vintage Digital and Top Secret OD pair together with the Britt 2204 and Matchstick CH1 to give you a great solo tone. Both amps for this are blended in the center of the stereo field. All effects have been assigned to the footswitches for those who don’t use snapshots. If you have a Variax guitar it will be told to use the T-Model-1 for this tone. I use my Helix in the 8 Snapshot/ 8 Stomp configuration. (Global Settings> Footswitches> Preset Mode Switches> 8 Snapshots and Global Settings> Footswitches> Stomp Mode Switches> 8 Switches). This tone works best that way. This tone has had the crap tested out of it with a Variax, 7 string, a few Ibanez RG’s, my new Paisleycaster (Squire Telecaster) and even a Schecter Stargazer with coil splits. I certify that this tone kicks old school rock butt! This patch is also designed to be played through Full Range Flat Response speakers. You may need to adjust the EQ settings if you do not want the low end that I have added in this tone. Thanks for downloading. Please rate it. Veritechc \m/
