Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

This is my main heavy sound that I use on a regular basis with my Memphis based cover band Area 51. We cover stuff like Van Halen, Rush, Yes, etc.. It has some extras like a Phaser, Chorus, Wah, Delay. i normally use a Vox Time Machine delay in one of the loops, but for the sake of the tone print i'm using the "Simple Delay with tap tempo. I'm using a Bogner 4x12 IR from Ownhammer. It's the OH 412 BOG-ST V30 70-EDGE. The EQ for the most part is flat. I use this as a clean boost and utilize the expression pedal (Exp 2) to control the "Level" of the EQ. The expression at the heal is rhythm volume, pushed up is lead. Exp1 is used for the wah. If your guitar's piezo has a separate output jack, you can use 2 instrument cables. For this application you plug one end into "Return 1" which acts at your input for the piezo, and then the other end goes to the piezo output of the guitar. Then for electric you plug one end into "Guitar In" and then the other end to the magnetic output jack of your guitar. If using a stereo cable (2 mono ends and 1 stereo end) you would plug the mono ends in their appropriate inputs (Return 1 for piezo, and guitar input for magnetics), then you plug the stereo end into the guitar's stereo jack. For those who use piezo equipped guitars (Music Man Majesty, Music Man John Petrucci) the section below is for the piezo. There's no acoustic IR's on this. just some eq, chorus, delay, reverb and compression. If your guitar's piezo has a separate output jack, you can use 2 instrument cables.
