Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

This is Ver2. This is what i would refer to as a "playback of play along" to the song style of patch where i tried to tone match the best that I could do. If this was to be used for a live show a lot of the setting would need to be changed imo. I just wanted to mention that. Set up using ESP EC1000CTM-T loaded with Motor City AFWAYU pups. Dual amps - EPIC and Soldan 100 lead. Monitoring with Yamaha HS80s. I again used the stock cabs so this is easy to share. I use IR's so feel free to insert your favourite. you'll need to redo a bunch of settings to get it back, but if feel the patch comes to life better with IR's. SO the cabs are the Cali V30's with a Ribbon mic blended againts a Cali V30 with the SM57 right on the grill. I used the volumes on the amps and cabs to blend to avoid the split AB L/R separation that I'm not a fan of. Set up in snapshot mode to follow the song structure. Snap 1 - Intro swells, i've included a volume patch so you can use the controller. To me he is using the volume nob on the guitar because the foot pedal is cheating in rock n roll. Snap 2 - Main Rthym - Use for all the dry heavy stuff. Snap 3 - Main Rthym Delay there is at least one part where the heavy guitar has delay applied as the guitar fades out. Snap6 - Use for Leads or noddles Snap 4 - This is to emulate his GIGFX tremolo part coming back in from the chorus. If you want to know what IR's I would use, just send a PM. This patch will work for most of the other songs on the new record as well as i was tone matching through the entire album. Cheers, and i hope the patch works for you. Peace.
